Police Officer

We protect those who protect us. And we’ve been doing this for a long time.

We know your job well: it’s physically and mentally taxing, requiring speed, endurance, agility, and a clear mindset so you can make quick decisions under duress.

We want you to know that we have you covered from head to toe.

Strength & Conditioning and Injury Prevention:

We’re able to meet one-on-one and take you through a comprehensive preventative medicine screen followed by a series of movement and strength tests, which result in a strength and conditioning program specific to you. Information gathered from you and your teammates can also be used to create an agency-wide stretch and flex program to take your injury prevention measures to the next level.

Body Mechanics: Let’s face it, you’ll engage in heavy and awkward lifting in high-stress situations. Our strength and conditioning program refines the way you move your body, increases your baseline strength, and ensures that you lift with proper form. That way, when you are in the field, the mechanics will become second nature.

Ergonomics: Your day has enough challenges without throwing in workspace issues. One of the cornerstones of our prevention program is officer ergonomics. We address workstation setup, vehicle setup, and other factors to reduce the stress on your body and create a space that supports your health.

Psychological Safety: It’s not about being tough, it’s about acknowledging how stress, fatigue, trauma, and mental health impact your physical aches and pains, emotional responses, relationships and your ability to provide for yourself and loved ones. Our providers are trained to identify, address, and connect employees with the necessary resources that promote safety, job satisfaction, and overall well-being.

Wellness: By working with us, you’ll learn how to fuel your day with proper nutrition and hydration. When combined with strategies to decrease inflammation and improve your sleep, you will become unstoppable.

Support: With us by your side, you’ll have the support you need to make positive changes in your life. Remember, we’re an independent third party, and our conversations are covered under HIPAA. This means whatever we talk about stays between us.

We know in your line of work, it’s difficult to prevent every injury. When injuries do occur, we’ve got you covered.

Injuries on the job: Under OSHA First Aid, we provide you with approved interventions to evaluate and address all bumps, bruises, aches, and pains that occur while you are on the job. Our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers are experts at caring for these acute injuries. We can use specific screening measures to determine if you need an x-ray, MRI or higher level of care. If you need a higher level of care, we can help you coordinate directly with a specialist to cut out the middleman and wait time.

Workers’ Compensation: Workplace injuries may happen despite our best preventative measures and performing OSHA First Aid. When they do, we aim to minimize days lost, time, and money spent to get the employee back to work safely and efficiently. We offer high-quality physical and occupational therapy onsite or near-site to ensure a successful recovery. We advocate for you and work with the whole treatment team to determine the best course of care.

What happens if an injury occurs at home?

Use our 24/7 musculoskeletal injury prevention and triage platform to get started ASAP. We can also connect with you on the phone or on our HIPAA-compliant virtual platform to ensure you have everything you need from the very beginning.

Early Intervention: It is essential to take care of the whole person. At Advanced, we believe in caring for personal injuries and the family unit (including spouses and dependents) with onsite or near-site physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or athletic training services.  We also have options for baseline concussion testing and care.

If these programs would benefit your unit, please share this website with your leadership.
